From the bold Tūī to the delicate Toutouwai and Wrybill, New Zealand’s birds have their own personalities. I love observing them and capturing their unique characters — and sharing tips on noticing detail, timing, and composition in your own wildlife shots.

New Zealand offers extraordinary diversity — from dramatic coastlines and alpine light to intricate native birdlife and seasonal garden blooms. My photography explores these environments with a focus on atmosphere, movement, and detail. Working both in the field and in quiet garden spaces, I aim to create images that feel calm, intentional, and reflective of Aotearoa’s character.
