One of my favourite spots was the famous Shibuya Crossing, where I managed to photograph the organised chaos of thousands of pedestrians crossing the street simultaneously. Another highlight was wandering through the narrow alleys of Golden Gai in Shinjuku, known for its tiny bars and vibrant nightlife. The contrast between the modern skyscrapers and the traditional wooden buildings created a captivating backdrop for my photos.

Next, I travelled to Kyoto, a city steeped in history and tradition. Kyoto’s serene temples, picturesque gardens, and historic districts provided a stark contrast to Tokyo’s fast-paced urban environment.

In the historic Gion district, I had the chance to photograph the cobblestone streets, and people walking in colourful kimonos adding a splash of colour to the ancient surroundings. The iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine, with its thousands of vibrant red torii gates, was another highlight. Walking through the seemingly endless tunnel of gates was a mesmerising experience, and I aimed to capture the spiritual essence of this sacred site in my photos.

My final destination was Yamanakako, a serene town near Mount Fuji. Known for its stunning natural beauty, Yamanakako was a perfect retreat after the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and the cultural immersion of Kyoto.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly photographing Mount Fuji from the shores of Lake Yamanaka. The iconic mountain, reflected in the calm waters of the lake, provided a breath taking scene that I was eager to capture. The tranquillity of the area, combined with the majestic presence of Mount Fuji, made for some of the most peaceful and striking photographs of my trip.
